Albert Einstein once said that ‘education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think’.

Choosing the right school is no doubt a difficult, but immensely important decision for any parent. We live in a fast-paced, ever-changing world; to withstand the challenges the future may hold, our children will not only need a strong academic background but will also need to be flexible, independent thinkers. Thus, it is my strong belief that education is not about memorising what is written in the pages of various textbooks; it is about opening young people’s minds and widening their horizons so that they can think critically and creatively while also being innovative and solution oriented.

The challenge to mold our students into successful global citizens requires our teachers to instill in them thinking skills, and to encourage them to question the world around them by creating an active, hands-on, and exciting learning environment, which gives children a wealth of experiences that capture their imagination, motivates them to work hard and makes them into independent and mature thinkers throughout all year groups.

Over the years, I have not only witnessed the tremendous development and growth of our school; I am also fortunate to be able to say that Edison, Aspire, has become a very important part of my life, with many meaningful and lasting relationships formed and lasting memories made.
